LazyOrbit

Adjustable tones, binaural beats, and soothing soundscapes for sleep, relaxation, focus, and shared spaces.

Build a personal soundscape with adjustable harmonic tones, binaural beats, deep drones, ambient layers, and effects — at home or in a shared environment.

LazyOrbit is a focused Android soundscape app for personal relaxation, sleep, and concentration. It generates adjustable harmonic tones and binaural beats in real time, with reverb, auto-wah, engine rumble, warble, rain, and nighttime ambience for creating anything from a soft background tone to a deep, comforting mechanical drone. Its continuous soundscapes also suit yoga studios, gyms, spas, massage rooms, meditation spaces, offices, waiting rooms, and other shared environments.

LazyOrbit generates its harmonic tones, binaural beats, and sound-shaping effects in real time, giving you precise control without relying on streamed playlists. Optional prerecorded nighttime ambience adds a natural outdoor layer and also works fully offline.
LazyOrbit works equally well beside your bed, through headphones while focusing, or through speakers as a subtle, continuous ambient sound source for a studio or shared space.

Features

Adjustable Tones for Sleep, Focus & Relaxation

Set the base tone anywhere from 320–480 Hz, including 432 Hz, while the app preserves each preset’s harmonic relationships. The tones are generated in real time for smooth transitions, gentle motion, and precise frequency control.

This approach creates a stable, non-repetitive sound environment suitable for falling asleep, staying focused during the day, or winding down at night.

Binaural Beats

When enabled, LazyOrbit generates binaural beats by sending slightly different frequencies to each ear. Headphones are required. The app includes binaural beat presets designed for relaxation, focus, sleep onset, and hypnagogic listening — a transitional state often explored by lucid dreamers and deep meditation practitioners.

Rain & Nighttime Ambience

Add rain or an included, cleaned nighttime field recording to your soundscape. The nighttime layer contains more than cricket sounds and now has a refined volume curve for quiet bedside listening, including complete silence at the lowest setting. Ambient layers can be combined with tones and effects and require no streaming.

Sound Design Effects

LazyOrbit includes four adjustable effects for shaping the tone: reverb for spaciousness, auto-wah for a slow filtered sweep, engine rumble for a deep, felt low end, and warble for a pronounced mechanical wobble. Mix and match with any chord preset — including Engine Hum, a low, near-unison drone built to sound mechanical rather than musical.

Custom Presets

Save any combination of chord preset, base tone, tone range, and effect settings as a named preset, then recall it instantly. LazyOrbit includes ready-made starter presets — including Deep Sleep, Evening Wind-Down, Focus Drift, Quiet Room, and Engine Room — each with a curated base tone.

Personal Listening & Shared Spaces

Use LazyOrbit personally for sleep, relaxation, meditation, reading, or focused work. With speakers, it can also create a steady atmosphere in yoga studios, gyms, spas, massage rooms, wellness spaces, therapy offices, waiting areas, and other shared environments. Choose gentle harmonic tones, natural ambience, spacious effects, or a soothing engine-like rumble to make the space feel comfortable and consistent.

Design Philosophy

LazyOrbit is intentionally simple. There are no accounts, social feeds, ads, subscriptions, tracking, or “gamification.” The app is designed to disappear once playback begins.
